About Me
I have been teaching adolescent aged children in Hawaii Catholic Schools for over 28 years. Last year I celebrated my 25th year at Maryknoll. I never get bored of integrated technology and creating new curriculum. I enjoy watching the students collaborate and share creative ideas. This year I will be teaching Sci-Fi (gr. 12) and World Literature (Gr. 9).
In 2002, I got my Masters in Secondary Education with a Middle Level Emphasis. I was awarded the Hawaii State Middle School Teacher of the year, and in 2011 I was awarded NAIS teacher of the future. I served on the HAMS board for 7 years, taking on the President responsibilities in 2009. I have presented at countless conferences including: The Schools of the Future, ACCE, and HAMS. I am currently the Freshmen Coordinator. I plan activities and long advisory days. I am looking forward to a rigorous semester full of fun ways to learn!
